FAQ

Do you take insurance?

I am currently in the process of becoming credentialed with insurance providers. Until then, I accept self-pay clients and can provide paperwork (called a “superbill”) for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

What does “out-of-network” mean?

Out-of-network means I am not yet contracted with your insurance company. Many insurance plans will still reimburse part of the cost if you see an out-of-network provider.

What is a superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the necessary information your insurance company needs to process a reimbursement claim. I provide this to you monthly, and you can submit it directly to your insurance.

How do I know if my insurance will reimburse me?

The best way is to call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • What percentage of the fee is reimbursed?

  • Is there a deductible I need to meet first?

  • Where should I send superbills for reimbursement?

What are your current fees?

  • Intake appointment: $185

  • Ongoing sessions: $165

Do you offer sliding scale or reduced fee options?

Yes, I have limited reduced-fee spots available. Please reach out if cost is a barrier so we can discuss options.

I’m currently accepting new clients through self-pay or out-of-network benefits. If you’d like to use your insurance, I can provide you with the paperwork needed to submit for possible reimbursement. I’m in the process of joining insurance panels and will be able to accept BCBS PPO and Blue Choice soon — stay tuned!
